Ok so it has been a little over a year since my surgery, I thought I would bring everyone up to speed. Steve and I moved to Canada. We have been here since July 2007. We recently got pregnant which is exciting given the surgery was done partially to allow us to try. Unfortunately a week after finding out we were pregnant we found out that I have 4 new tumors:( The outlook is a bit iffy. We are now 14 weeks pregnant (4th months/2nd trimester). We are on a wait and see course. I will meet with the surgeon on July 16th to see what he thinks in terms of removal while pregnant. So the numbers break down like this: 30-60% rupture rate with a 60% chance of my death 70% chance of baby death if rupture occurs. A bit concerning for sure. We won’t terminate but it does mean if we can get through this safely, this will be our one and only biological munchkin. We are hopeful and we have really good doctors. So it is a waiting game. We are watching to see if and how fast they grow. Currently they are 3.1 and 3.3cm the other 2 are smaller. 1 in what is left of the left lobe and 3 in the right lobe thus far. They have grown slightly in the first trimester the 2nd and third trimester is usually where the growth spurt is seen. So a lot of watching and waiting and lots of doctor appointments and ultrasounds of baby and belly:) Good news it thus far baby is happy healthy and swimming around down there. We are hopeful and have faith as always. We will see what happens I will add more later:)

I a lucky enough to work in a fashion boutique known as Bodacious and we carry some of Braden’s line (in the interest of full disclosure I thought I should point this out). This is were I saw his stuff for the first time. I have three of his pieces I like them so much and I am told he is coming out with a new line in the next couple of months I am really looking forward to seeing it.

Ok so I got bored reporting on liver surgery daily. So here is the last update for on that. I am doing well. I am starting to work out agian (regualary) this week. Most of the swelling is completely gone and I am able to see my normal shape again which is really exciting. I need to loose the 15 or so pounds that I put on in recovery:) Other than that all is well. The scar is very large but really quite pretty. I will try to post another pic of it. Also I have random little zings which I think are just the nerves reconnecting. I still don’t have total muscle control in my mid stomach and I have a numbness that has not gone away yet and may never. Other than those minor inconvienences I am very well. I have normal energy and am glad to be tumor free.
I will be posting soon on other issues.

Oh yeah I did finish my school work and was the proud recipient of a Masters of Divinity with the rest of my class in May 2007.

I am doing pretty well. I have gone out of the house three or four times for things like groceries (with lifting help) and the drug store. I have more energy although I am really struggling with my sleep schedule. I seem to still need 11-12 hours of sleep at night to feel alive the next day. I also am still having trouble getting to sleep at a normal hour. Eventhough I go to bed at midnight I can not seem to sleep until 3am. It is frustrating as I need to be on a normal schedule by Sunday. Also the sleeping in then makes it hard to get work done. I am doing relatively well on Pain except for this nagging pain I have been having for the last week. It gets worse after I eat and is on the left side under the incision. It feels like a really bad pulled muscle (which is ridiculous since I haven’t done any exercise except walking.) I put a call into the surgeon to see if it was normal or not and we will go from there. I have a ton of work to do this week trying to catch up. Also I see the accupunturist tomorrow to talk about alternative ways to regulate my hormones since I can not return to the Pill as it will cause more tumors…
