cgWerks is proud to be featured on the popular WordPress information site, WPMayor.com. A couple of weeks ago, I ran across an article predicting the end of the Web hosting industry, especially managed hosting (like we use at cgWerks and for our customers). At first, I thought it might be an April Fool’s joke, as it was published on April 1st. However, I soon realized it was a serious article… and that I strongly disagreed with the thesis. Is the future of web hosting really in jeopardy?
After much debate and discussion in the comment sections of the original article, as well as other sites talking about it, I was asked if I’d like to write a response.
